one Day morocco travel advice to ourika : We will leave Marrakesh in the morning. Then we drive toward the Atlas Mountains, where we will see many beautiful landscapes and Berber villages, some dating back to the 16th and 17th century. This is a verdant, fertile region with fruit and olive trees, gardens and rivers. Just an hours drive from the bustling medina and you are immersed in this haven of nature and peace with just the birds to break the silence. We will visit a traditional house to see how local people live and cook, the owner will prepares a tea ceremony to show us how to make mint tea and afterwards they serve us local breakfast (bread, butter, honey, olive oil and tea). Then we continue deeper in the valley, we stop for a camel ride for around 20 minutes and then we go hiking for two hours to see the famous Setti Fatma waterfalls where the fresh snowmelt water cascades down the huge rocks. In the afternoon, we will stop for lunch in one of the riverside restaurants the line the rivers edges. Here you can sit back and enjoy the ambience and local traditional dishes. In the late afternoon we return to Marrakech.
