Day Trip From Fez To Chefchaouen

Your Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fes would start in early morning enjoying the beautiful sunrise as we smoothly drive through the high Rif mountains. We would be leaving the cosiness of Fes the old City and heading north towards the highest town where the earth beautifully meets the blue sky . We would stop along the way to admire the beautiful green landscape, take some great pictures to capture the moment and have a local breakfast in a village along the road. Our arrival to Chefchaouen would be an epic one, as you would be stunned by the magic of the small town and the endless shades of blue as everything is coloured with the blue colour. We will go to a local restaurant to have the favourite local dish of the northern people “Bissara” with a tempting cup of Mint Tea. We would go on Fes Excursions to explore the majestic blue walls and gates of the town and admire the small signs of early life here through the flour mill and enjoy the medina’s beautiful natural water spring. We would also guide you through the souks to wander through the blue, maze like streets, think about buying some traditional souvenirs specially the local leather products for which Chefchaouen is best known. Next on Excursions from Fes to Chefchaouen, we will visit together the marvellous Kasbah Museum the royal beautiful Andalusian Gardens in the centre of the town, where you would to explore the unrivalled collection of artefacts which tell the story of the old Chefchaouen, with everything from pottery, art pieces to musical instruments. We would also explore The Grand Mosque, with its unique octagonal minaret, the beautiful echoes of the call to prayer and of course the stunning classical Arabic architecture with an obvious European touch. The following visit would be to the magnificent Plaza Uta el-Hammam the energetic square in Chefchaouen lined with cafes and restaurants, all serving similar fare. The square is the most peaceful place to relax and watch the world go by, particularly after a long day of exploration. We drive back to Fez and return at some time in the early evening.
